It's wonderful that you are an
experienced guinea pig owner, but there are a few guidelines to adopting from
us, and they are as follows:
-
You can't adopt a guinea pig to be
alone, though there are a few exceptions. You must
either already have a guinea pig for a buddy, or be adopting more than one guinea
pigs. We do this because it is not only lonely for a guinea pig, but can
sometimes be so stressful it can affect their health.
-
You must have all needed supplies already,
please visit our 'Needed Supplies' page
to see everything you will need.
-
You must be willing to come to the
rescue, which is located in Atlanta, Georgia, to adopt the guinea pig or
pigs, as we have a very busy schedule and can very rarely deliver them ourselves.
We also will not ship any guinea pigs.
-
There are adoption fees, and though
there are some exceptions they are typically as stated below. If you are
interested in adopting more than two guinea pigs, please contact us for more
information about the adoption fee.
